I currently have a turtle beach x 11 headset and want to upgrade to a higher quality headset. I am going to MLG Dallas in 2 weeks and thinking about buying the A40's. I just want to hear your opinions on the A40's if you own them and if you could help me make a decision in what headset to buy. Money is not an issue because I work all the time now and am saving up for that specific purpose. Thank you guys so much for helping me out if you post.

They are amazing I've had/tried out plenty of different headsets but so far, for comfortability and quality the a40's are the way to go man.

Smallz definetly go with the A40's. I know everyone talks about the sound and how good it is. And I agree they sound fantastic and they dont crank up the bass for the sake of audio quality. But my favorite thing about these things is how comfortable they are. You can wear them all day and they feel amazing.

Since money isn't an issue for you go with the Sennheiser PC350's and the Astro Mixamp.

Ya the bass was a big concern for me because my friend has a pair of Tritton AX 180's and the bass kinda dominates all the sound. The static in my turtle beaches annoy me so badly so I will be glad when I get rid of those things.

The only thing I can add is that my son Joey (Joe Fries) has them and he loves them.
I like the Customer service and support that Astros provide.

What is the main difference between the A40's and the PC350's?

Thanks for your opinion Mrs. P!

Well the sound is similar quality but I think that people only like the PC350's cause they are "exotic" in a sense. In my opinion the PC350's are waaaaaayyyyyy less comfortable. Astro's are super comfortable. Other than that there is nothing :)

Just an FYI: moved this to Off-Topic discussion since this thread is about gathering opinions on a headset rather than an offer to buy the headset from another member. I do suggest that you see THIS (http://thelannetwork.com/forum/showthread.php?441-PSYCH-s-Internet-Garage-Sale!) thread for a cheap pair of Astro A40s (Blue BXR edition) if that is what you end up deciding on. :)

This. Astro's support is unmatched by any company that sells anything IMO. They have replaced parts, and even completely replaced my headset OUTSIDE of the warranty. No questions asked. I have 2 headsets and a mixamp, and will be buying more eventually.

Thats insane man. Luckily my headset has never had any problems so I haven't had to use customer support.

No worries. I completely understand the not having time to play! I love my A40s btw. Great audio quality plus they're super comfortable. :)

ive had my a40s for almost a year now and i love them. so comfortable and have great quality. some people say other headsets have better quality like the pc350s, but ive worn those and i dont find them as comfortable as a40s. also i use my a40s for recording music and they work GREAT for that too

I have the A40s and they are nothing short of complete awesomeness. The only difference between the A40s and the PC350s is that the A40s are more comfortable, but the PC350s cancel out the background noise(the noise from the outside of the headset) more.(Not sure how to word that.)

I could definitely see that. It shocks me to hear though that pretty much everyone says the A40's are MORE comfortable than the pc350's. My friend has a set of Sennheiser's and I just ordered a pair to replace my A30's and have to say they were super duper comfy and the noise cancellation was nice. Can't say I've used A40's personally but if they are more comfy than a pair of pc350's...I'd say get them!

From my experience, the PC350's have better sound quality, especially if you use them for things other than gaming, like listening to music or watching movies. But they both have phenomenal sound and comfort, and you probably wouldn't be disappointed with either one unless you're really into high quality sound stuff.

I am not to much into extremely high quality sound stuff. I just want to have something better than Turtle Beach's. I will most likely go with the A40's since I am going to Dallas in 2 weeks to the event and can just buy them there. Thanks everyone for your opinions and help.

I have to disagree with you there Senn PC350's have better audio quality it has been proven they are more comfortable to me that's a preference thing if you are looking for a headset for tournament use A40 are the way to go but if you are looking for a headset for everyday gaming and long gaming sessions i suggest AD700 from Audio Technica they are so comfortable and the audio quality is great and seriously they are so comfortable.
