StrongSide 1v1 Results

Most of you said I was going to get owned and beaten badly. Well, I was beat, but not that badly. He is a very good player, and I had some pretty nice snipes. We are going to 1v1 some more. I had just got on from hanging out with friends, thus not being warmed up.

The games were MLG Zealot v1.1 to 15 for 15 minutes - MLG Sanc v1.1 to 15 for 15 minutes.

His POV is coming soon. If someone will capture my POV that would be wonderful.

To all the people coming in here that are going to flame me, and tell me I suck, or that I was making excuses, like I said in one of the above paragraphs, we are going to 1v1 again very soon.

Confidence is something you need if your ever gonna be good. You won't win every fight though, not a reason to get onto someone for being confident. He has not once said that Strongside is a bad player, therefore I don't think its really talking trash. Different ideas though man :) just gotta be cool about it. Even if its something you don't agree with doing, don't bag on people for it.

EDIT: I personally always go into a big game with the mindset that I'm the best there. Even though I know it's not true. It helps me to be more confident in my shot.

Of all the pros that you could have played 1v1, I see side as one of the better ones. With that said, I'm sure you will improve imensely playing him. If not in technical skill, than in at least knowing how pros think. It's gotta be way different than the average joe-schmoe thinks.

Also, there are several posts of a questionable nature in this thread. The next one that resembles flaming or trolling will be deleted and warned. I am the type of guy that gives one warning, and I never forget.

Good job, its cool to see that you got your wish to play a pro. Honest question though, why not just create a GB singles ladder team and challenge the top seeded players?? They've obviously been playing enough 1v1's to be considered decent and it may improve your 1v1 skills too. Just an idea. If you already have one then awesome!

Agreed, but there are ways around them. In my 1v1 GB games in H3 I played several guys who would play on maps like Pit V8 WITH Custom and rockets, all I did was grab rockets and shoot them at a wall till they were empty each time. Kept the game more entertaining having to out play them with gun skill AND waste rockets in the meantime. Heck I recall one game I did this while the other player grabbed custom 7-8 times during this specific game and several camped rockets and we still tied. 1v1 is about outsmarting the other player IMO

Just sayin' you don't have to call out pros for 1v1's to prove anything. Not trying to insult you by any means either.

i played against FiS in matchmaking yesterday. he out BR'd me every time, even though the connections were horrific. nonetheless, pros are insane, and getting 7 kills in a 1v1 is pretty good. i would probably have to play like a complete A hole to get that many lol.
