Anyone here on TLN play Starcraft II? I'm looking for some people to run some games with. My horrible toss needs some practise. Got most of the hotkeys and everything down, I'm just trying to get my APM up and trying to figure out build orders etc etc.

I play Protoss mostly but I used Zerg for Broodwar and I'd like to get back into them again.

Still getting used to Protoss. I didn't like them back in Star Craft 1 but I am still getting used to Zerg as well so I just do Protoss for my matches.

Takes some getting used to but it is really fun no matter if you win or lose.

agreed! I started this game being absolutely horrible, but playing the campaign and the 50 practice league games got me kinda prepared for real laddering....the fast speed to faster surprised me tho :p

My problem was I was still playing Zerg from Brood War. Then I went into the the ladder and learned that Zerg really can not be played like they were back in the day. So I went Protoss because it is the easiest to learn the basics of in my opinion. (I like Micro over Macro so they are more fun for me then Terran) I'm learning how to play the new Zerg though so I can get back with them.

I only really got back into SC a couple of weeks ago, up until then it's probably been almost a decade since I remember playing anything SC related. So I'm just trying to get into the swing of things really now, similar kind of situation as you Simplex really.

I'm up for playing sometime, but availability might be limited as I'm starting to get knee deep in work for the final year of university, but... I soldier on regardless.

Yeah I have not been on much with school and all but when I am I have been splitting my time between Protoss and Zerg so I can slowly switch over.

School is killing my SC2 also.....o well only 2 weeks till finals are over then i can game again :)

Ahhh too many good players. I'm expecting Idra but the 2nd-5th is gonna be really hard to predict. TLO, Sen, Kiwikaki, HuK, Select, or White-Ra could take Idra down with a good series. Theres a lot of other good kids that don't have quite as big of a name as those 6 but definitely have the skill. So potentially really unexpected results but guaranteed a lot of really really intense series.

Really can't wait to see this. Hoping HuK beats Idra finally <3

I just got this game about a week ago, and so far I suck at it lol.

Anybody else play this? Anybody want to play with me a bit? I seem to be learning pretty well so far. I got through about half of the practice matches and got bored, so I skipped those and almost immediately (after 5 matches I think?) got placed into gold division. Pretty cool game if I may say so myself.

What region do you plan on? If its Eu i will give you a few custom games. I don't really ladder much but i started a couple of days ago i played some games i got placed into high level gold. I will probs keep going over the next few weeks in order to get into Plat/Diamond i think im good enough to do that TBH.

That may have been a bad time to start watching. High Level play all round. If you want to get into the game you should start watching Day9 Newbie Tuesday - but any Day9 is good, he actually goes in depth on what is going on and how you need to do to be awesome

There is one Day[9] video that i forgot what number it was. It wasn't a newbie tuesday episode but it was incredibly helpful when I first started playing. It's a couple hours long and it goes from what a unit is all the way through some pretty complex gameplay and strats. I'll try to locate it either tonight or tomorrow.

The campaign is very helpful to learn the basic concepts. Even though you play as Terran (through most of it) I still can't play Terran to save my life. I can only use Protoss and Zerg. You basically just have to play around with races after you get the basics to see which one fits you the best. :) either way its lots of fun though.
