UoR Final Boss

Was just reading the thread over at MLG forums. UoR is now a sponsor of Final Boss. Lots of people upset about it, mostly because they asked to put the UoR in front of their name. I think it's sick. I've always been a Final Boss fan and always wondered why they never had a sponsor through most of Halo 3. Glad they are finally getting some extra money and some help outside of tourneys. Good luck to them and hope they 3-peat.

I never understood this whole Union of Reach thing. I don't understand what their site is about. I don't understand how they have all these teams under them. And I don't understand how they have the money to sponsor any them.

No idea but Ahhh I find that the biggest problem about this sponsor...very few ppl actually know it. The #1 team in the league should be sponsored by a company that would bring a lot of people unaware of mlg into the community like TD(Hot pockets), Str8 (Dr. Pepper), Instinct (Old Spice).

I would not be suprised if FB continues the UoR sponsor for next season, or get a major sponsorship from an MLG partner. After Instinct and TD had strong seasons they got team sponsors, I would assume FB will follow this trend.

For those of you who don't know FB was sponsored by Gilbert Arenas but i think that stopped in 09 but UoR most likely flashed a lot of money in FB's face and told them that they would sponsor them it's not a bad thing now FB has some money to do what they won't have to worry about plain tickets and stuff like that the FB fans should be happy because that means FB has more time to practice and get better but like many of you have pointed out UoR is not a big sponsor so this will most likely not last for next Season.And for the Doritos thing Doritos has already done a lot for MLG asking them to sponsor a team now will be to much MLG will almost certainly not ask for that but they might ask Jack links or Stride to do it..

there have been plenty of teams in the past with an acronym in foront of their name: FBI The Agency, MOBdeep, UoR Classic, and UoR Warriors. just to name a few. AND there have been plenty of CoD and RB6V teams that were sponsored by vVv or others that i dont remember the acronym for.

only reason its a big deal now is because its FB. i just wonder if they werent winning tourneys if it would matter as much. i honestly couldnt give a shit what infront of their name i will still love that team.

I don't think it's such a big deal. FB hasn't had a sponsor since late 08, so doing this wouldn't be such big of a deal if they just ask to put their name acronym in front of Final Boss. Also, wouldn't be surprised if Dr. Pepper started sponsoring FB next season if FB keeps it up. I really doubt any1 wants to sign Str8 Rippin autographs anymore after they keep placing top 16.

I'm actually a UoR member. UoR is a gaming community that revolves around halo. As far as where the money comes from I can't comment because I don't know myself. But anyone can check it out. UoR is home to teams like FB, Victorious Secret and others. If anyone has questions my best advice is check it out. www.unionofreach.com

You can't really say that since any community that revolves around "celebrities" will have its share of d-riders. I don't think TLN or even the MLG Forus would be excluded from that category since Pro Players post on both those sites.

Its really just a gaming community, thats all. Obviously they are trying to gain new members by sponsoring high level teams. Simple as that. I'm glad that FB will be getting some financial help from them. I have posted a few times on their forums and it seems like a pretty friendly community.

I would have to ask the same qusetion here as everyone else, what are they? I mean I have been to the site far previous to reading this, and honestly there wasn't anything to do there. And I saw no advertisements, so how are they making money? And if they aren't making money, how are they "sponsoring" so many teams? It all confuses me.

They put their name in front of Pro teams for Halo, before Pro teams it was up and coming amateur or Semi Pro teams, these kids pay for the logo in their name.

And per Final Boss finally getting sponsored...I'm pretty sure through H2 the team had numerous sponsorships, lol, just none that affected their name.

When pT was 'sponsoring' Dynasty at the end of 2009 it wasn't really anything. A couple hundred bucks to each player ($200) and didn't cover flight or hotel or anything. I'd assume this is something similar, but why not take it if MLG isn't getting a proper sponsor for such a classic and well established team.

You need to stop faking that you are an original member and a former admin. You're a registered member, and our site creators have no memory of you being an administrator at all, and they would have definitely remembered.

To anybody else who don't know anything about UoR: we're an online community where gamers can come and chat with other gamers about practically anything. We have many threads with topics ranging from the Pro-Circuit and different video games, to the random topics in our "off topic" area where users post just about anything they want to discuss. It's a great community if you're actually active, and for the most part there's no drama (except with recent drama of people pretending they are former administrators). So, check out the website if you'd like. It's a pretty good website, and we're almost always trying to find ways to improve the site.

Just check us out sometime, we have a bunch of FB bandwagon kids, but there's quite a few of us who actually post and chat in our little community. It's a shame that less than half our users are regular and active members in the community, and we're always looking for more people if anyone wants to stop on by lol :)

And I'm a Final Boss fan for H3, but I'm not sure if I'll still be a big fan once the 2011 Reach season starts. As of now I'm lovin' vS :) <3
