Quitting a series before it's finished? Unless someone(s) has to leave the house, there's no reason to not finish out a series. You came to the LAN to practice, quitting because you're not playing well(and by extension, not having fun) is pathetic. If that's your attitude, you should have just rolled over and let another team get the 8th seed for Dallas. Not to mention it messes up fantasy(yeah, had to slip that in there). Just dumb.

I wasn't watching that series because I knew Instinct was going to steamroll over them, and they did based off of the score updates I was getting.

haha impended i was picking instinct to win 5-0 and 3-0 and by like 26 in slayer games and I even had them winning by 215 in oddball which i came pretty close to. It was hilarious.

I don't really see how this can be allowed. Carbon should be at least required to finish out that series. If they decided to quit in the middle of one of those Red Bull LANs there would probably be consequences. This shows blatent disrespect to their hosts IMO.

I agree wholeheartedly with forefront. I was not watching this last night so I did not see what happened but Carbon really quit before finishing a series? Screw that man they don't deserve to be at Dallas. I said that right after they qualified, Darkest Hour or Str8 Rippin should be there. I am a die hard Walshy fan and always will be but between them quitting out last night and their recent performances in events they are pathetic. I have a lost a lot of respect for every member on that team. I hope they figure it out and don't disappoint their fans, insult their host, and all around embarrass themselves at events and LANs any more.

I'd like to add that I came across very harsh, and though I meant and stick by everything I said, after reviewing the scores of each individual game against Instinct, I can't say I'd feel any differently then Carbon probably did. Truth be told I still do not agree with the decision to stop playing, for the reasons that have been stated in multiple posts above, but I can't truthfully say I have never quit on a game because of pure frustration to the point of it being anti-productive. So my new final synopsis would be, I disagree and find their move to quit disrespectful, but I won't jump on my soapbox about it any longer.

I must say, hearing some of the stories about last night made me sad. Its never fun to watch a team get stomped on constantly(Especially when i dont have any of Instinct on my fantasy)

Its these situations where you should be learning from your mistakes. if they can get their act together hopefully it wont be an embarrassment at Dallas

Shouldn't matter how frustrated you are. If you call yourself a professional gamer, then you should act professional. Can you get up and leave if you're losing like that on mainstage? I don't think so. They have made TLN look bad.

They miss a day of practice because Walshy wasn't there and then proceed to get curb stomp by the other teams. Chig is good player and SK has won a lot, it sucks to see this.

If I were getting brutally embaressed, I don't know about you, but I would've gave up, they werent even working as a team, might as well not play.. nothing to be mad about, they just don't have a strong enough lineup

Im pretty sure Sk was sick, I mean if i was sick and was getting steam rolled like that i would want to try and recover so i could played at 100% for the rest of the weekend.
I also remember naded quitting at a lan before the series was finished so, lets just chill out till the lans over.

i have been a die hard carbon fan forever but to see a team like str8 rippin have a few rough series loses and barely not make the cut while carbon, who just don't have good chemistry, suck. then they should have the ability to give up there spot because seriously its just not gonna happen and another 100 games probably are gonna be just like the games we saw last night. bad bad and more bad.

I've been a Carbon fan since they added Naded again in 2009. Dallas 2009 was the best, especially after they 3-0'ed Str8 Rippin on Saturday Night! If Shockwave would have never retired, and they kept their line-up from Dallas 2009, then they probably would have won two or three tournaments so far. That's hilarious though. I was expecting them to quit out of at least one LAN series like that ever since they put Soldier 187 and Chig on the team. I don't expect them to improve for Dallas now. It sucks even more now with Str8 Rippin not attending the National Championships because they found their first comfort zone in the 2010 Season with Naded and Defy on the team. Plus, Naded can't even attend the All-Star Classics on Friday Night in Dallas, only because Str8 Rippin placed out of the Top 8 in D.C.

That sucks, but why force the issue and play at all if that's case? Ask if another team(that's going to finish the series...so probably not BtH) wants to play for you. I'd rather not start something I can't finish, personally. It took 8 games to realize you guys weren't into it so much that you couldn't finish out the series(Only three games, 2 of which are quick slayers)? Just seems like a cop-out to avoid getting 11-0'd. It's over and you can't change it, and at the end of the day it's not that big of a deal, just a weak choice imo.

Thank you for posting this Chigskis. A lot of people just saw the "8-0" and didn't know what was going on giving them the conclusion that ya'll rage quit.

They didn't rage quit, they were down 8-0 (or something like that) and they weren't really trying at all because SK was sick. So they quit it since they were getting nowhere with it and headed off to bed. They came back the next day doing better than that first night.
