Fighting games fans, pros, and scrubs get in here!
In recent years the passion for fighting games have been revived with the release of Street Fighter IV. Now more players wish to get into the genre but don't know where to start. I am a scrub, but I have learned quite a bit over the past few months since I hopped on the Super Street Fighter IV bandwagon when it came out in April. I used to just play fighters for fun when I was younger, but now I like to dissect them and actually learn. :)
Introduce yourself by telling us what you play or what game you want to get into. hopefully we can start a nice discussion and learn from each other.
I play SSFIV and the only character I have used really is Cammy. I do okay with her but I do not have much in my bag of tricks. I need to practice setups and executions more. I would like to pick up a second character, I was thinking Fei Long but I am open to learn a shoto character. I play play on Xbox 360 and use a Madcatz TE Round 2.

I have had you on my friends list for like a week now lol. I added you back when kluhtzy wanted to play halo 3/reach one morning. But yeah, we should train. and maybe if there is enough interest we could do endless battles... with stream!

Was directed towards anyone who posts in this thread, but yeah.
And I'm down for endless or anything that will get me better. None of my friends play SSF4 so I don't play as much as I probably would.

Oh, gotcha.
I wish there was a SF scene in my area. I feel like going down to a local mom n pop shop and see if they would like to host SF weeklys to bring in business.

I used to play a lot of soul cal. 2 on PS2. I played Nightmare/Ivy/Taki. For Tekken 6 for the little while I had it, I played Lars. I cannot wait for MvC3 either!! Never got to play MvC2 but I've watched games where skisonic was commentating, I was like WTF take a breath bro lol. That games is so fast.

I like the idea of a fighting game with a bunch of characters I grew up with but I suck at smash so bad! :(
If anyone is interested, the Socal Regionals is today and tomorrow and they will be streaming. They will have 7 different fighting games and legendary top players from japan have been invited as special guests. Sometimes these streams go on till 3 in the morning. If you want more info and see the stream go to www.socalregionals.com

I think I've done enough training mode and challenges to say that I am a SSF4 player now. I main Ken, and have just figured out the cancelling system. Gotta get some muscle memory down so I can pull off these sweet combos in game. Then, it's on to FADC and some local tourneys. Hopefully when I move into my new place and get some internet, I can stream for you guys. I would love to do that! BMI pro FTW!

I don't like Juri. I get bored playing against Juri players and I dont really like her the times I've taken her into training mode. I'm thinking of picking up Fei Long and Ryu!

Ryu. His FADC combos are so simple. Of course, I still couldn't do them. I'm still working on the basic combos. I'm at like trial 18 for Ken. I still have a very hard time with combos against an opponent who fights back.
