It seems like MLG has come far to be able to get notice from Yahoo like they did.

Haha, the article next to it is about a chick who spent 900 days playing more that 9 hours a day of Runescape.

OT: This is a great article, and much more professional than the one in the Wash. Post. It's great to see some positive feedback about the community.

I got 8 99s in 12 months (August 2008-August 2009)... Let's just say I was probably averaging 8-9 hours a day in that span also.

that was a good article, except it says FB narrowly defeated instinct. lol, it was a massacre.

I can see how it is great for MLG but it is kinda a pet peeve of mine. I guess its kinda stupid but oh well.

well, yeah I mean for a professional journalist they should really get all of the facts right, and for that they have no excuse, , it's their job, it does kind of bother me, but you know, pick your battles.

I don't think they got the facts wrong, I think they just skewed them a little. Technically, FB did have to beat Instinct to win. If they had written it with SQ and FB, the amount of total prize money between them that they wrote about would have been lower. A higher amount is more attractive to readers. Technically, they didn't get anything wrong.

Very interesting read, and after taking some guesstimates, I'm pretty sure each member of Final Boss made more money then my dad did this year. So professional gaming can make a living :P

Yeah MLG is just going to keep on getting bigger and more popular as will the gaming industry as well.
