Reach mod: no bloom

People have probably seen this on bungie or MLG, but i thought i'd bring it over here too. it's a mod that some guy made that takes out bloom.

Edit: It's not that i don't like the bloom it's just cool to see how the DMR would be without it.

I seriously don't get the hate on the Bloom, Personally i love it. I myself have always been a PC gamer so bloom has always come in the FPS' that i play.

I love the fact that Halo has included bloom as well. Yes its random, yes it adds an extra skill gap into the game. But we are a part of a Pro gaming community so we should love anything that adds an extra talent factor into the game.

Eh, I seriously don't dislike the idea of bloom, but the way bungie designed the current one is terrible. When you add sprint to that equation, it just gets worse.

I would hate having people have DMRs with out the bloom. 5 Shotting people from across the map. Just ridiculous.

I really hope this patch comes out, or atleast the option to have in custom games. I miss yelling " FOUR ! " at the opponents.
If you notice, he also modded the ability to jump a bit higher. Also the no bleed is beast..... this guy made Reach into a game i was waiting for, and for those of you who stat " if you dont like it dont play it " well i obviously do not play it.

i personally don't mind bloom that much, but it really pisses me off when bk's get rewarded for spamming. without bloom it's the better shot that wins the battles

Well to me, the no bloom thing is pretty tighttt, but I still like the bloom because it brings out the excting-ness in BR (DMR) battles, it's never the same fight!

If Bungie would give players the option to take out bloom in customs. The game would be more balanced. But, then again, the bloom gives a wide skill gap. Except at close range.

Idk...I like bloom. I really do. Yeah its annoying and frustrating at times...but I like the extra skill it brings to the playing field.

HOWEVER

I think the way the bloom in reach is situated, is TERRIBLE.

Make the bloom blow up faster so the spammers suck...but have the reset be MUCH faster. Therefore you can actually run this through your mind as you play... "He is right in my face, shoot faster, pacing doesn't matter this close." or "Hey the guy is mid distance, let me get closer as I fight, and slowly increase my RoF." or "Damn this guy is trigger happy, stay calm, back up n strafe and pace those shots."

Not have this happen, "Ohhh MeeeGeee bluez guy th4r! Spammy pew pew mid distanc3 FTWWW!"

Keep the bloom, just tweak it. Exactly how they tweaked the BR with the H2 patch. Bloom isn't broken, it is just a lil rusty so lets clean it up a bit :).
