Hey all,

This is my first ever ever ever Montage and its my first time using Sony Vegas Pro 9 - Video Editing software

This aint the real thing just only 40 seconds just a very small of My First Ever Reach Montage which will be coming out as soon as I have enough good clips... And I need more Overkills and more MontagePlay on MLG Customs ... Which I highly doubt = ).

Check it out people have a look !

I will give you abit of advice, try less screenwipes and ad in a few jump cuts. The cuts give the video a faster paced feeling. which is something that you would want if you are making a montage with that song choice

Thanks for the great advice Aran ... I know what your saying mate and when the big finale comes out I will make sure its alot faster and that some Shots will sync with the Audio.

I agree with aranetrox, also it seems kinds funny to put exclusively on the lan network when you posed it on youtube. I liked your clips, should be a good montage

Just because the video is on youtube doesn't mean it can't be exclusive to TLN you can put the video to where you can only watch it if you have the link to the video

You should watch some more tutorials, really spend some time getting to know the software, Editing will make or break your montage. Just some proper syncing can make a terrible montage into a watchable montage. There are plenty of great songs that haven't been used before, just find a song you like and run with it. People will notice if you use a song that has been in a popular montage, and it takes them away from your montage. Don't over-edit You want people to know what is going on ie. when you flipped the screen on powerhouse. Also your transitions aren't too bad, but they are too smooth, you want your montage to be a spectacle, fast paced.(unless youre going for a going for a really light style montage, but based on your music that isn't the case.) If you make the transitions choppier it will increase the pace and make it more appealing. You could have ended the clip before you died, dieing in a montage is frowned upon, unless it's in the credits. Nice use of black and white in that clip, a lot of people make the mistake of making an entire clip black and white, which doesn't add any interest to it, it just makes you wonder why they made it black and white lolz. But you might want to think about just reducing the saturation while keeping some color, not making it completely monotone, or not removing color from certain element in the scene. you want to think about increasing your clips per minute. (not a real term I made it up. lol) you had 4 clips in 39 seconds. basically 1 clip every 10 seconds. compared to 8 clips in the first 39 seconds of Walshy's H2 montage.

the montage i'm referring to btw.

Hope this helps, keep on editing, once I get my capture card I'm gonna have to learn how to edit too. You can teach me some stuff you learned :)
