The Video on Demand is being worked on, however it is the last thing that we are focused on launching in regards to preparing the new website for the 6 Team Lan. It is part of a very broad media page that will cover many different types of videos as well as the vast amount of VOD saved from LANs. I have gone through and categorized and labeled all of our VOD dating back to the LANs in preparation for the 2009 National Championships, once everything else is finished the media page will launch with hundreds if not thousands of hours of VOD.

Sounds amazing Towey. I hope you're making some good bucks for doing all of this. You really deserve it man.
Also, I'm just wondering what the quality of the VoD will be compared to the quality of the live broadcasts?

The VOD is actually the same as the rebroadcast, the files are saved when they are being streamed. We don't have the technical equipment or manpower to individually save on memory cards, capture on computers and then transfer each individual game from each point of view. So the VOD is the same point of view of whoever streamed for that series, on the plus side though all VOD will have the teams communication of their games as well.

So is it going to be like the old H2 footage? Where it's just one big long event everything included in the sections? Or is it pure gameplay and communication?

I know that you guys have other things on your mind right now, but a Youtube channel would definitely help promote the site. Put up highlight reels of the LANs and maybe some other stuff.

I like the idea of youtube advertising however they could do that on this site? And probably JTV, they already advertise on mlgpro, so anyone who knows about those sites knows about TLN, but youtube is definitly an option for a little added bonues, but even after the site is up, it's just a maybe.

I really like this idea of highlights on a YouTube channel. I think it could really help promote it as well.

I'm really liking the more consistant rebroadcast's now, granted it's not live gameplay it's still something, especially since I've missed it, it's like watching a whole new broadcast, lol

VOD will come out when it does, we have to be patient while they are finishing up the site.

We are being patient, but while being patient we are able to voice our concerns and questions about the VoD.

The team chat definitely makes up for the fact that we dont get everyones views

Team chat is literally amazing, it's not like on mlgpro were you can barely hear them or hear just the main person their watching, the voice is CLEAR and you can hear everyone AND the coaches, it's a great experience.

Completely agree. I'd rather have one pov from one series with voice than all 4 povs with no voice.

I'd much rather have 1 person VoD with communication than all 4 VoD's with no communication.
Can't wait for it.

I agree as well. The VoD so far has been awesome! Towey rocks!
This LAN is going to be sweet. I've been away from MLG and Halo for like 3 months now and I can't wait.

yeah I can definitely see a youtube channel help with promotion. But I bet there is plenty to do for the Wizard.
BTW, I had the first thread :p

I think they should show the final game in FB vs Instinct series Saturday night in the MLG gameroom, with FB chat. Show what the TLN has to offer. You dont get the pros ever talking crap to eachother and enjoying themselves in relax enviroments, while still maintaining a high level of play. Just word of mouth is not always the strongest arguement to why this is worth investing.

So I have a question about the VOD. Will everyone be able to view it or is it only going to be to the ones who paid to see the live broadcast? Sorry if this question has already been asked. I completely new to this sight.

I believe VOD will only be available to those that have a premium membership to the site. I would think that those people that paid to just see the LAN would also have access to that LANs VOD but the wizard (Towey) or one of the other Admins can answer this question better.
Yeah I agree with Imp3nded, a Youtube channel would probably help people stay up to date through subscriptions, which would be a lot easier.
