Agreed. I believe that one of the pros (can not remember who) stated on twitter that rosters lock 1 month prior to the event. Since nobody knows when, or where, the first event will occur there is no way a roster lock is already in place.

I do find it a very strange choice tho, kinda like the Totz for Pistola. (no diss and much love to antz!) But straight skill its just a huge hit for a team to take. And its not like they were doing badly. But Chemistry is important of course. Still - pretty brutal change IMO.

Sadly i feel this is sorta like instinct now and str8 before them. Just unbalanced. Neighbor wants the main slayer duties, backed now by bestman. But to pick up hysteria's weight is alot on BM.

Kinda like instinct, T2 is a strong player just like lunch and totz. But no, IMO, powerhouse slayers besides Roy. Just unbalanced.

Sigh...this off season has brought some crazyness and some of it definitely makes me miss the good ol Str8 days!

What happened with Hysteria was that Best Man was originally gonna get dropped by Neighbor but Hysteria backed Best Man up, then Neighbor says he wants to drop Hysteria instead and tells Best Man basically "dude, he tried to drop you and i backed you up...wtf?" and Best Man replied "sorry...GL" and hysteria replies "dude...brainwashed". All on twitter...so Neighbor is the captain, losing Hysteria's slaying power will not matter, Best Man is actually proving to be the slayer now as well as support but adding Kyle adds intelligence to the team and i think that's what tD needs...you have Heinz, Best man, Neighbor, Elamitewarrior...its stacked yes...but we have seen how horrible stacked teams have done...BUT! keep in mind, this roster has NEVER been made before, Elamite and Neighbor are the only ones that have teamed before and have no personal vendetta against each other...tD at least top 2...FB still top 1

no, he didnt start the rumor, go to like 1 or 2 pages back from this post, thats where he got it from, people were talking about hysteria joining fb and replacing victory x, and victory x said that because mlgteamupdates talked trash to this other person, thats why he posted #realmature the tweet after that, TLN forums started the Hysteria FB rumor

Im really liking the new TD squad, Elamite should bring a lot of positivity to the team. As for Snip3down joining BtH again; this is a perfect example of not learning from your mistakes. I think Snip3down needs a veteran player on his team in order to place well consistently (ex. Elamite, SK, T2, Walshy, etc), imo.

I think everyone should reserve judgment until after the 2nd LAN. I agree with most others here about not exactly...appreciating Hysteria's attitude... as a player. But he is sick nasty, if he's kept under control any team would be better off to have him. Snipedown just needs a team he really can mesh with. I saw BtH at Dallas and I was watching one of their warm-up matches at the Dr Pepper Booth. Snipedown was basically getting pissed at his teammates every other game. He needs someone like T2. Idk if SK is that, but I think it would be better than sticking with BtH, tbh.

I just noticed when looking at the rosters, when I played MLG at a friends house I played Swagger Like Us. ZooWoo, Dersky, & Thrust which they were cool but they clowned on the other team.

I was at DC reach and in Dallas too, I saw all the top reach teams compete.. These are kids that played reach from day 1 and on GB HARDDDD and have won Reach tournaments in DC and in Dallas.... sYa is the real deal, Amish is probably one of the best in the game, Adrenaline is also one of the best right now.. Lethul and Blaze are both incredible snipers and when they go off there is no stopping these kids..
Also vS was eh just online at first I didnt think too highly of them, I thought zekkou was better but now they added Ninja and have a veryyy solid lineup. They will also be in the top 8 probably the first 2-3 tournaments.
What it all comes down to is that the teams that have been playing for so long like sYa and vS have a HUGE advantage over the top pro teams right now. I fully expect things to change lets say by the 3rd tournament, none of these teams will still be together in full and we'll just see how things go

I don't think the extra time is going to matter as much as you think. The top teams are going to LAN more and we don't even know what the final settings or new maps are going to be. Not to mention the top teams are the top teams for a reason. We'll see though. You might be right.

SyA will win the opener. Call it bandwagon if you want, but those kids win. Period. matchmaking, gamebattles, combines, exhibitions, you name it. Don't care about who wasn't at Dallas, they beat who was there.. dont take credit away from them just because they beat the other teams there, whether or not they were the "pro teams" if you will.

I don't think people are going to be caught off guard as they were at the start of Halo 3. Too many pros love this game and play it every day, and with all the lans that will happen with TLN and how the league has grown in the last 3 years, i don't think any team will be under prepared for the opener. Whichever team wins it will truly deserve it, and i would expect them to win the second event too. Not saying SyA can't win, but i don't think they will.

My goal of the post was to say that SyA needs to continue to work hard if they want to be an elite team that is winning consistent MLG tournaments, and that they should not develop a sense of comfortability simply because they got a big head start on the players who made it to the 2010 Halo 3 Championship. Wasn't meaning to sound so intense about it, I was just throwing in my opinion about it. But now that I know what you mean, I agree. SYA needs to work hard. And if they do put in their work, there should be less doubters.

Also, @everyone else talking about matching up in MM with some pros... you absolutely can not use those one or two games you play to judge a player. Best Man could go big in one game, but that doesn't mean Heinz who might've had the most assists that game is not as beastly as BMan.

The head start SyA had is disappearing fast. I think they will do well but they will not be winning the opener.

Me neither, even though i see FB as the yankees of the Halo world (and i love rooting for upsets) the show that they put on over the last 3 tournaments of H3 was absolutely PERFECT halo when they needed it to be... there was not one mistake made in the clutch and it was so amazing to watch! I think that with FB at least competing consistently for top 3 (instead of falling to top 6 like they did for a while in H3) it makes MLG progress even faster than having a team like BTH win a championship (no offense to them at all, they played a great tournament and had the cards fall their way in 09) but a team should at least win 1 event during the regular season to be "deserving" of a National Title and FB shouldnt drop off after this recent comeback with a vengeance!

SyA will be practicing more once the Opener arrives, they have been getting on every night, reviewing films, and going over stuff, I am also going over stuff to help them with certain situations and what not. Also we have found some new jumps, nade tricks and what not that we will be using to our benefit in the future. It's disclosed info for now, but I'm sure you will see them do some new and interesting stuff in the coming months.

We are looking to win the Opener and will try our best.
But we are new at this and the pros have been were we haven't so its all in the learning process.

We will most likely be going to 2-3 lans before the Opener as well.

SyA will be practicing more once the Opener arrives, they have been getting on every night, reviewing films, and going over stuff, I am also going over stuff to help them with certain situations and what not. Also we have found some new jumps, nade tricks and what not that we will be using to our benefit in the future. It's disclosed info for now, but I'm sure you will see them do some new and interesting stuff in the coming months.

We are looking to win the Opener and will try our best.
But we are new at this and the pros have been were we haven't so its all in the learning process.

We will most likely be going to 2-3 lans before the Opener as well.

Absolutely. At the 3 team LAN, he played poorly. He spammed a lot, wasn't winning many DMR battles, and overall I wasn't impressed. But at the FB LAN, I really saw him play much better. So I think he is still getting better as well.

I never had a doubt. The dude's dedicated as hell and has been a top player in each of the Halo games. Anyone that thought he would stay sub par at the game is an idiot.

I hope you're right. They are still very talented individually and I'm praying that the long break between wins leaves OG2 hungrier than ever and desperate not to fall back into mediocrity.

FB will be very good, Instinct and DH could very well be top 2 at the opener, that would be pretty sweet. i could see FB placing third because they are insane and will improve leaps and bounds in the next couple of months. I'm excited about the match tonight, i think DH might have the upper hand on Instinct, but the games will be extremely close and very exciting.
