I'm not sure...

Hey TLNC its MagiK here (obviously right? :p) and I wanted some opinions from you all, especially the one's I play with a lot. So straight to the point, I'm not sure if I should continue playing Halo competitively. Over the past 4 years or so I've been playing a lot of all the the Halo's that are on the circuit at that time and it seems I am getting nowhere at all. I mean I know I am decent player at best but I just can't seem to make a break no matter how hard I try and know matter what I do. It just seems like its getting old to me and I wish it wasn't but I have to face facts. So I was wondering what do you guys think I should do? I mean all I really need is once chance with some people who are good and have experience and I know I can do it. It seems though, that this will never happen.
Thoughts, comments, advice, or concerns please?

well magik let me ask u this. do u still enjoy playing with a competitive mindset. because ive had the same thoughts when is topped playing soccer at a high level on a travel team, and ive regreted it ever since.

Yeah its fun but w/o any incentive to play Its just not worth it. I just want to succeed and just go pro lol I know so many people want this but honestly I am better than most. Not the best by any means but I know I have that caliber or level of play style I just need the right chance I guess.

i understand man. i faced the same thing in halo 3. if u really want it. then keep playing, trying talking to pros, getting in customs with them, ect. who knows crazier shit has happened

Lol playing with them in customs is the easy part. Getting on team with one or with someone who can compete with them is the thing I'm concerned about.

lol well what about the guys from bTr u guys had alot of talent. and i thnk if u had kept it up u would have done well. i dont think its the individual player that cant hang, but the fact your playing a team of 4 guys who only team together, all day everyday, when u might bring in one new guy who isnt used to the dynamics of your team and strugles. that will happen till he gets omfertable.

You have to be either fully committed or it isn't going to work out. Having even the slightest doubt can derail what you are going after.

You definatly have the potential, and it sucks not getting that break. But don't quit. Keep that determination you've had and keep rolling with the punches. I know once we get those right teammates, or catch that lucky break where a pro would consider havin you on the team ((who knows mabye even both of us), we'll be glad we stuck with it.

Not everyone with top tier potential gets lucky and gets a break/chance from already established players, or the even luckier option, of finding 3 other players by yourself, with a lot of potential and who are all on the same page as you. If you feel like playing isn't detracting from more important things in your life, keep gaming hard and trying to "make it," or don't. It's up to you.

Magik I'm not trying to be an ass but if you want to have this big break you better be on playing with your team every night and trying out people until you find the perfect person. Just start playing more, and scrim vs my team one of these days.

This is one of the reasons I LOVE this community...people seem to care here...we all have a similar passion and even though we are competitive with one another we still want to see other members succeed and try to help them do so...Shelly you are swell...

Magik seriously I think that you should keep at it and maybe start doing the combine. If I had your talent, and we all know that I am far from it... lol, then I would consider getting in to the combine and get evaluated from pros and soak up as much knowledge about the game and how it works because no matter how much you play you can always learn more. Keep your chin up buddy!

Magik me you and Minor are all very talented and have the chance to practice as a team together for a while. if we can hone skills are keep practicing we could really be something. i understand the desire to retire maybe life has come to point where your moving on from gaming but if you love it and think its worth the time you have 2 teammates compeltly willing to work with you and help as much as we can!
