halo reach dmr

halo reach is one of the first wars of halo of course the dmr is going to have 1 shot... people are saying they want the br (3 round burst) but reach is one of the first wars so they didnt have the technology till halo 2 for the 3 round burst

congrats to all of you who obviously cant use a br. my point isnt that i dont want change. my point is that idont think that the dmr is going to be an effective weapon. the br was the main weapon of choice for a reason and it's fun to watch. it is more high paced. and for all of you complaining about the br, the bloom and the single shot are not going to make you any better at the game.

If you really want a BR in Reach start a petition (even though it wont help because the reason why there isn't a BR in Reach is because of the time line this game falls under). And how is the DMR not an effective weapon? It works long, medium, and short range. Weapons in Halo 3 had bloom, its most noticeable with the AR. The bloom was there it just had no markers to identify it and its more important in Reach.

You just called the BR an effective weapon... LOL. And no, most of the people who are happy about the BR being gone, are the same people that destroy with it (which actually isn't that hard to do). The BR's spread cripples the gun, so that it is ineffective at mid-long to long range weapon. The DMR gives faster kill times than the H3 BR mid-long to long range (like it's supposed to, it's not meant for close-range), and the Pistol will provide faster kill times than the H3 BR in close to mid range. Both weapons kill faster for their intended purposes. If you honestly want to keep that garbage H3 BR, then go ahead and continue playing H3.

You'd be able to land a perfect 5-shot with the DMR from Cannon to Cannon on Narrows. It is impossible to do this with the H3 BR even on LAN. Not even the pros do it.

I love a single-shot weapon that will actually register. I dislike a burst-fire gun with a spread that won't register all its shots and can't even shoot a reasonable distance.

What? the BR does perfectly fine in mid-range and long range. The people who hate the new dmr are the people who are really good and competitive at H3. im a gen 50 in mlg and i am honestly thinking of not even playing reach. There are way too many changes and the "dmr" just ruins it for me. Make it the normal 3 shot burst and dont make the radical expand. right now its way too hard to use. And i know ill get used to it but it just one more thing that makes Reach Modern Warfare 3 (with jetpacks and camo) in my opinion

Lol? The H3 BR is one of the most hated guns in competitive gaming. Ask ANY Pro when they do their interview. It's TRASH.

i hope youre joking. that just shows me that you dont know how to use a br. you need to lead your shots. its going to be the same for the dmr. hahaha you think its impossible to shoot people when they go over cannon. have you really never seen anyone do it or done it yourself. the br is effective at close range, mid range, and long range. thats why mlg uses it because its the most effective weapon. sorry everybody i was not trying to start any fights with this thread i just wanted to know how people felt and i now know that reach is not a sequel and that is a prequel. it makes sense with the timeline my fault everyone.
