2011 Event Location Discussion

There needs to be more in the North West... Portland, OR would be ideal, but Seattle would be nice too.

i would like to see either orlando or miami at some point. (1.5 hours from orlando, 45 mins. from miami). Maybe a San Diego stop, Medowlands, St. L. would be cool. Just some new places to see how people around the country accept MLG.

They stated at Raleigh that they won't be going back to Meadowlands, because the venue is too small for all of the games they have now. Personally, I am really hoping for Atlanta or D.C. again.

I can make some stuff clear for you almost all events will be east coast this year and meadowland wont return because of the venue size.

The main reason why MLG has stayed away from the west coast lately is because of the poor attendance they have had. From my understanding Anaheim 09 was very bad for attendance which pushed the events even more to the east where attendance has been much higher.

I think MLG has grown over the past year. And it's no good to keep neglecting the west coast as time goes on.

Why not have all events in the midwest? Then it would be equal distance from everyone on the East and West. Maybe like a Kansas City event?? I don't know enough though..

Sundance and Clap have both said they will have a west coast event.. and there might be a possibility of starting on the west coast and heading east with each event.. opener = sold out regardless of where it is so it would be smart to start on the west coast.

I am hoping MLG stays with Columbus because it is the closest Event i will attend. I would also like to see meadowlands come back.

I hope to see more than one event off the coasts. I hope to be able to go to 2-3 events this year, and so Dallas and Columbus sound great to me.

Here are the places I would love to see an event:
Kansas City
Chicago
Des Moines
Oklahoma City
St. Louis

Places on the coasts on want to go to, and would love to see an event at:
Boston
New York
San Diego
Seattle
Miami
San Francisco

I agree. personally I would change OK city for Indianapolis or maybe Bloomington, IN but I think you have a good list of cities there for an MLG event

Dude I'm from Pittsburgh and they have the new Consol Energy Center and Stage AE which just opened recently, as well as our Convention Center which is already popular. I think those are some pretty epic choices for them to travel out this way to.

I love to see Vegas again. Since Vegas is hurting right now room rates at the nice hotels are very cheap under $120 a night over how it used to be in the past and it is easy to get a venue here now.

It may not be in 2011 here is what he put "we did 2 events in Orlando and one did well. The last guy planned poorly. We will return... At some point (details soon)." This doesn't confirm it for the 2011 season. It is a possibility though.

MLG needs to get away from the Orlando, Columbus, Medowlands. For the past 3 years, it has been repeat cities. It is not fair to the West Coasters since there are no events out there any more. Dallas is still a 10hr + drive from California. I would like if MLG had 1 event ON the West Coast (San Diego), 1 event South Western ( Dallas), 1 event South ( New Orleans) , 1 event Central ( Chicago) and 2 events ON the East Cost ( Boston) and ( D.C.)

I really think that Columbus should be the place for opener because the convention center there is a great environment plus its a huge building also all of the pros love it there and it is usually the biggest event every year I always love going to spec but this year I will be competing and nothing would be better than to have my first mlg event in my home state :)

Agreed! I'd love for the opener to be at the Meadowlands. I live in PA and the closer the event to me, the better! I'd rather not have to fork over all my savings on a plane ticket to be able to be at the opener.
