I'm aware of this but lets stay on topic.

LULZ, yeah they didnt have the technology to have a weapon with burst, but did have the technology to make spartans fly, sprint, and shields all on their suits.
People do us a favor if you have not READ the book series dont post and place FAKE facts. The BR did exist on Reach.....ROAR!! look it up on Evolutions a Halo book series recently released. Also it is mentioned on "The Fall of Reach" by Eric Nylon.
You seem to be walking a fine line so I will address this off-topic post. Keep your cool please. :) I agree that this statement by Easy E:
is inaccurate (I explained this in my post earlier that all the games in Bungie's Halo series only span between one and two years). But that is no reason to go after a post that is over two weeks old. If you believe someone posts something that is incorrect, please stay respectful. We do not want any hostility on these forums.
Thank you Magik for trying to keep this on topic. It is appreciated.
On topic: I think the single-shot DMR will be fantastic because controlling how you shoot is going to play a big factor in whether your shots hit or not.
i don't know about anyone else here, but i my biggest problem with reach is the hitscan. i liked the fact that you had to lead your shots in H3, i thought it added more difficulty to the game. also, if there was a bad connection, such as australia, all you had to do to hit targets was lead a bit farther. In reach, that's not the case because of the hitscan. if you play australians, you're screwed. at least that's how it was for me in the beta. another problem with the DMR is luck. if u get into a 1 on 1 dmr battle, you might decide to take your time while the other guy will shoot as fast as he can, and he might get lucky and have all 5 shots hit you. with H3 the BR always had the same fire rate, and it was just the better player, not the luckier one, to win the battle. those are just my thoughts. i will always say that H3 will always be the most fair and balanced game ever made.
and i hope to god that mlg disables armor abilities. that stuff is so silly.
flamed thread gets flamed
I'm not saying bungie are going to do this or whatever but is it possible to bring out an update by bungie on XBL to include a BR in Reach at some point in the future, its just a general question about whether or not it is possible ?
Technically, yes it is possible with DLC (see examples of Racing games that you can get new cars in, etc) but I can 99.9% guarantee you they will not be including the BR in any DLC. DLC most likely be exclusively maps just like in the previous games. It is safe to assume that the DMR is going to be the primary weapon for competitive REACH gameplay with the Needle Rifle, Pistol, Sniper Rifle, and Rockets mixed in. I'm sure there will be a couple other weapons thrown in as well but we'll just have to see when it launches.
