Well it seems to me you can't send anyone a friend request you randomly meet in MLG matchmaking anymore. Since when you send a good player a F/R they always reply 20$/1600 Points. I can understand if they are pro but most of the time they are not...I remember in Halo 2 when someone on the other team did you good and so did yourself they would send each other F/R and play together to increase the level of competition; I guess that doesn't occur anymore. When did F/R turn into a business anyway?
The game i went 15 and 7, with randoms who didn't talk, so i think i did pretty well. On the other team (Mega Maayne) went 24 and 11 with a team of 4 who all talked...and he asked me for 1600 points.....

Mega MaaYnE is no random, but not a pro either. There are some good online people who do ask for 1600msp or $20 because, their list is filled with good people, and they don't want to waste a spot.

I agree, it is getting out of hand.
If you're not a well known pro, nobody will pay for a friend request.

I didn't think he was all that great sorry =/. He just got kills off my terrible random teammates. Who went like -15....so i think i performed well and im pretty sure im on the same level playing skill as him. I think i would deserve a spot. I seriously out played him through out that game.

Well if his friends list is full with a bunch of really good players, there has to be a reason to remove one of them and add you. I think it is stupid personally, but that is the way it works. I really don't think it is worth paying to be on anyones friends list. I agree that it is really stupid and this really wouldn't be that big of a problem if Microsoft allowed for bigger friends lists...

I mssg people 1600 msp if they mssg asking for a F/R, only cause I think it's lols.
I can't add randoms who play well in MM anymore, my whole friends list consists of people from TLN and pros/pro coaches.
It's so hard trying to make space for new people to play with.

Well said. I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. If someone is dumb enough to give him points or money in the hopes of possibly becoming more known by playing with better players than so be it. If people were willing to give me $20 to be on my F/L I'd for sure take it lol.

I am in the same boat, though I don't go for the lols like you do!

His list isnt full. Like i add good players to get better. I know thats how i got as good as i was in back when i played h2. I got to the point were i was playing with pros on a daily bases online. I guess that isnt how it works any more =/

Granted I have no Pro's on my friend list. I would never pay anyone to add me, pro or not. Not trying to hate on anyone who does/has. I just don't see the point.

Yea if he just declined my F/R understandable. But asking for money/points i think is a little too much.

Yeah. Totally not worth it. I mean if it was your favorite pro or something and you really wanted to pay, then yeah sure do it. But if it is just some random kid online who did well in one game, it is totally pointless. Good decision.

Im glad they dont extend the FR to more than 100, then the pros will making a killing. I understand that your good at a game, but charging money is another thing.

I personally would never pay anyone for a spot on their friends list. But if i would, then i would only pay a pro. I mean some pro's like t2 make gaming their career and they need to get paid. so I understand that charging to be on their friends list is an easy way to make money. so I kind of understand why they do it, but if your not a pro then i'm sorry i don't understand how and why anyone would pay you or why you think you should be paid. I added Sundance a couple of days ago and he didn't charge me to accept...why should you?

I'm giving all those people at Dallas the ego check. :) I suggest you do the same.

I once added a dude and he said "1600 points" and I replied "I only have 1599 points" and he replied with an "lol" and added me.

I'm glad too because then it wouldn't be cool to part of their 100 lol. Also, it's not like they would play with you if they have like 300 friends constantly spamming them with invites.
