Alias of the Month

The "Alias of the Month" contest is our way of giving thanks to those that have truly helped us reach our goals and those of the community. We would like to reward the members that display star characteristics on a day to day basis here at The LAN Network. We understand that there are many of you out there that have dedicated yourselves to the success of our great cause. We feel that it is now our turn to repay you for all of your great efforts. We are pleased to introduce a new monthly competition that we will be launching to show our gratitude. This competition will reward one member each month based on the manner in which you apply yourself. In order to become a candidate for this monthly contest, one must express and act according to the following guidelines and expectations.

1. Member must be active on TLN website and forums.
2. Member must display maturity and respect for others.
3. Member must display a positive, encouraging attitude for TLN "new-comers" and existing users.
4. Member should make helpful forum posts and/or contributions to the website (No "Trolling")
5. Member should help spread the word about TLN and share the website with others.

If you feel as if you fulfill the items listed above, you may very well be the next to win! Keep up the good work! We greatly appreciate all of you.

Now this is a great idea to help keep the atmosphere of TLN a good one! As if there wasn't enough motivation before to be part of this community and help it grow, this definitely went above and beyond to encourage users. Good job to the TLN crew that thought this up.

Even though I know nominations aren't necessary, I recommend Shy as a candidate for October. Aside from a few posts detailing his upsets with parts of Reach (which honestly who hasn't at this point?), he still manages to keep his opinions written in positive way so not to encourage flaming or hostile behavior. I've never actually played with Shy but I can tell you if I were new to this site and looking to play some customs, or ask a "newbish" question, I wouldn't hesitate to send him a PM based on his mannerisms throughout different threads.

I probably wont win, but ive been active on TLN since January 10, i remember watching Instinct and Carbon lanning back when it was one P.o.V and was free to everyone. Agreed. Posting has nothing to do with this. Look at Luke, he won because of the Lucky Luke Report which was an awesome, cutting edge idea on this site. Havkin did MO Madness, Shelly spreads the word about TLN everywhere, and obviously you do everything that you said. It really has nothing to do with posting.

I actually do not know who I would vote for. TBH, there hasn't been a big contribution from a community member in a while. I guess you can say spreading the word about TLN and posting a lot counts, as that is all we have to judge off of.
