I'm in the middle of a pit remake thats as good as this I think at least.

In order to remake lockout, one would have to redesign a lot of things. This being said, the design focus should be "lockout esque asymmetrical map designed with oddball in mind and spawns that accommodate that". Instead, you tried to remake every trick jump and detail. Fail, IMO.
Making the back b3 bigger and different would be essential. Suicide room needs to be deeper, elbow needs to go lower and longer...and im sure your bottom lift is a bad recreation in which you were too strict in your carbon copy idea.
Basically, a little ingenuity on top of respect for what it used to be. You could never recreate the feel and have it look the same in a different game. Certain spots would need buffs and changes...
i think he made a lot of good suggestions, even though he was kind of a dick about it... but don't be so sensitive you should realize that when your trying to recreate something so legendary people are going to be harsh in their opinions about it.
Many of his suggestions are pretty much point less, to do because they wouldn't truly affect game play just looks, I'm not being sensitive kids a dick, so I was a dick back and suggested if he wants to recreate it his way then he should but I wanted a remake with small changes (which i am doing more of as we speak) so that's what I did. If I had wanted to change things like that I would have but, I chose to stay accurate. I realize some people will feel obliged to may comments because it is one of the best maps in the history of FPS gaming. I appreciate real critique that may actually change gameplay but in all honesty the kid was trying to prove that mine was bad, when all his suggestions were pretty much useless. I am taking my map and changing it up into a new map based off of lockout. So, don't get your panties in a wad i realize that it may not be perfect for Reach but my goal is to make it work for Reach. There will be future releases with increased Reach Game Play aspects.
