Classic?

Is Classic still a functioning team or are they not? I need to know for my website. https://sites.google.com/site/mlgprowiki/

Classic is not a team anymore (as of now).

T2 and Legit were a t02 (Str8 Rippin) because Snipedown and Heinz left. They picked up Ghostayame and Soldier as their 3rd and 4th, so it was Str8 Rippin: T2, Legit, Soldier, and Ghost. I believe Chig and Tizoxic tried making a t04 keeping the name Classic, but something ended up happening to stop this (I believe Tizoxic decided to form the old Dynasty with aPG, Destin, and Clutch... no enable). This left Chig by himself with the Classic name. While that was happening, Legit decided to retire (.... "retire" ). This left Str8 Rippin as a t03: T2, Soldier, and Ghost. They decided to pick up Chig as their 4th. Ultimately, this makes it look like T2 went to join (what was) Classic in replace of Tizoxic, and they just changed the team name to Str8 Rippin and gave them Classic's rank. Really, it was more of a multi-step process that just resulted in 3 members of the old Classic forming with T2 on Str8 Rippin. This is what confuses people. Honestly, it's still kind of confusing to me.

I wouldn't put all of that on a website. Some of it can be misinformed. Hopefully a pro can come in here and explain it.

However, the team name 'Classic' isn't dead, but just dormant. I'm sure someone will awaken the sleeping underdog eventually.

On a technical level that is what happened. While everything else you said is pretty much correct in the eyes of the fans watching it all unfold, no team change is official until the roster lock. That means that until the roster lock Str8 Rippin was still technically T2, Legit, Heinz, Snipedown and then when they submitted the new roster (it was technically Classic but they changed their name. They were able to because of the fact that Str8 Rippin had technically disbanded unlike the Purgatory/HaE situation where HaE still had two players from the last event) MLG saw it as Classic drops Tizoxic/ Tiz left and Classic picked up Tsquared and changed their name.
