This has been discussed, but it is now more possible than ever! With Naded getting kicked from DH, it will open the door for Legit to leave as well. I also don't think that Snipedown is really tied down to Dynasty in any way. I honestly don't care what the team is, I just want to see a Str8 Rippin team. I am an FB fan, but I think everyone wants to see a Str8 team.

After watching Mikwen's jtv rebroadcast of the GMM vs FB scrim, I realized that those two Sanctuary games FB lost were extremely close and GMM basically squeaked out wins.

Let's start with the Sanctuary bomb game. FB was completely dominating in the slaying department and I don't know how many times I saw Pistola completely destroy Mikwen in a 1v1. FB had them on a spawn trap plenty of times throughout the game, but just didn't seem to be able to get the objective down. It was tied 0-0 all the way up until the 15:05 marker when GMM got an arm and won it when the bomb detonated at 15:00 (0:00).

The Sanctuary slayer game FB was winning 49-46 and then somehow let GMM tie it up 49-49 (it was hard to tell what really happened since all I had was a Mikwen PoV). They then let GMM win it by letting them get 4 kills and FB getting 0. However, I'll give credit where credit is due and say that Mikwen's eagle eye in his rocks was very impressive. Pistola had camo when the score was 49-49 and he was crouching around one of GMM's rocks. Mikwen spotted him and shot him once, then all 4 DMR's from GMM lit Pistola up. This was very impressive.

With all this said, I think a more practiced FB would have taken both of these games. They won Element CTF, steaked Nexus TS, and 5-0'd Countdown CTF in 8 minutes. That was night #2 of practice and their first night of real scrims. I can't wait to see what they do when they really get their chemistry down and learn how each other plays. I was pleased with what I saw for them playing against the 11th ranked team.

i wouldn't look to much into online play. the only thing you can do online is just mesh with your team. the quality practice comes from LANs and events.

one more thing. after looking at your sig, i don't think you can FBs number one fan after two days of rooting for them lol :D

Your posting is spot on today! I didn't watch this, but I am impressed that FB beat GMM with very little practice. Apparently it wasn't the real GMM team, but I am sure that whoever was on GMM had more practice together than FB. And the fact that the games they won were dominations, I think the future looks bright for this team. God I can't wait to go to Columbus and see them play. On the issue of online not meaning anything, it does mean something. Agreeing with you here Impended. In a Slayer game, a team might lose some games online that they could have possibly won on LAN, but in objective, the better team will win. It doesn't matter if someone has host and maybe stays at a one shot instead of dieing, if your team is setup and spawn killing and running flags, there will be somebody to kill that guy, and possibly help you team shot him before he actually kills you. When I see online games, I personally look at objective more than I look at slayer. Just my opinion.

Victory X gets the Instinct team name. I'm not disappointed, but I'm not an Instinct fan anymore.

Final Boss will just be so dominate. Roybox needed two players that are competent at the game right NOW. And Ogre 2 and Pistola are just a few levels above T2 and Totz right now. Same thing with VicX and FiS.

Good luck to Instinct though.

How do you beat a team by luck? Like Warriors vs Triggers Down back in Columbus of last season, is that just luck? Or is it just odd that a team like Warriors could upset TD? Placings do not reflect team skill, (such as GMM not making top 1 as expected:mad:), and luck does not constitute who will win a series/event. It may constitute an individual battle, maybe a game, not a series, and definitely not an entire event's placings.

I was playing on host that night and I literally have NO idea how to shoot on host, we played them again last night, I was off-host and I was rarely losing 1v1's. Had to clear that up, but yes he was shitting on me that night :( lol

I think he will. You have the Leader in T2, the Support in Legit, The Slaying in Naded, and the Objective King in RyaNoob. I think this new Stt8 could do big things. I've watched RyaNoob's gameplay and he is amongst the best at this game, no doubt.

He absolutely is amazing, but I just feel like it is 3 seasoned veterans and 1 new young gun. I just have a feeling that he won't mesh well with them. T2 Naded and Legit all know each other very well and they know each others style of play. Ryanoob has an amazing DMR, but I feel like he might feel a little bit left out if this team formed. Don't forget, nothing has been confirmed.

Based on what I've seen I think SQ will def be top 2/3 again. Impact will def be top 6 or higher. If Dynasty gets out to a LAN or two I think they'll be in good shape as well

I almost made a thread about this the other day. Idk what is going on with him. I remember reading on the live event blog on MLG during Dallas it at one point said something about Walshy leaving his team during the tournament or something along those lines (don't quote me on this). Anyway it seemed like something funky was going on. It's just weird because there was buzz about him being really individually skilled at Reach. I hope he gets on a decent team and puts some practice in. Would love to see him back on in the mix for top 5.

Final Boss top 1 [Not really]
The way I see is, Halo Reach isn't about the indivitual talent its about teamwork, and I've seen alot of people say, that FB is guranteed top4 because the're that good. well news flash, Pistola, and Ogre2 just came off a 11th place finish, and were streaky all event, I mean Pistola played ok all event, but he didn't ever have the Pistola "You know what I'm going snipe you, and grab your flag" feel to him.
Ogre2 extremely incosistent in his play, were he seemed to play extremely well some game, and just fold over like of cards the next.
Roybox. You can't say anything negative about Roy, he was my favourite player [Besides the new Neighbor] and Lunch was like a slightly weaker version of Roy.
Look at FB they have the stronger aspect and 11th seeded team, and a sixth seeded team. I won't say anything above top six without seeing how they play in event, and at LANS

Thanks for clearing that up. What I read made it sound to me like he up and left mid tournament which would have been totally weak.

no way. warriors don't have the individual skill to go against fb now. With roybox on fb the team work will be amazing. I had the chance to play against them with just me and my friend. The creamed us. Team shot was better than any of the other teams which i have played. I have played power, soul, active rush and there we competed with them. IMO and several people will not agree with me here but Walshy only showed great playing skills in the beggining of Halo 3 (first like 2 events) and Halo 2/CE. I haven't seen him do ANYTHING after that. He needs a team, and Final Boss was his team they had over 3 years of pure family and playing together and the team that they made doing that was amazing. He's not a strong 'Lone Wolf' he needs communication and a team he can count on and understands how they play. Without that Walshy is nothing.

FB didn't just beat BTH. they completely destroyed bth. and after that they dominated dynasty, who apparently swapped ghostayame for demon d. not sure if that's official or not, but if it is, then i don't think that's a good decision at all. a team with destin, snipedown, and tiz needs a guy like ghost to do all the support and objective. plus demon d has no points.

I would be forced to agree with you based on history, but if T2 can find a way to really step up his game and start playing like himself again, this team could go far. Ryanoob is dirty at this game, we saw Legit go off a few times at Dallas, and Naded can always play better than he did at Dallas. This team better practice hard, and get to a few LANs if they want to succeed.

I think with the success of Quo and seeing they have stuck together we will start to see other teams trying to do something similar which is why Impact, BtH, Warriors, sLu, Dynasty, and tD are sticking it out one more event (for now at least)

Totz was weaker then T2 he had as much Objective time, and assist, but unlike Totz only went neg 16 overall, and totz and big Neg 87

The line-up of Ogre 2, Pistola, Roy, and Lunchbox has been having name issues and may not go as either Instinct or Final Boss. Explained below:

Since there is no way to quickly post a blog on this site, I'll post a shortened-version of what is going on right now with "Final Boss" here:

We were not planning or scheming ahead of time on changing our roster after the Dallas event. Roy and Lunchbox reached out to myself and Pistola two days after the event and asked us to consider teaming with them. Initially both myself and Pistola decided to decline the offer, as we felt our team must stick it out through at least one more event given our history in Halo 3 (2010 season). After another few days of consideration, Pistola and I decided that this was a new game, and that Roy and Lunchbox were absolutely incredible players who we couldn't pass up the opportunity to team with.

We did not make this team move because our team placed 10th. I feel that our team definitely underperformed in Dallas and also did not catch any lucky breaks. It was an overall poor showing but we did not make the team change in order to hop on a higher seeded team (Instinct is seeded 6th after Dallas). We made the team change because we feel that the team we have now formed will be a better team - and of course we plan on winning tournaments. That is what we care about. Now when I first consulted MLG about a team change, I asked if we could join Roy+Lunch and keep the name Final Boss as our team name. I was told there was a chance of them approving this (they have done it in the past for Str8 Rippin' and also right before the Dallas event for BtH and Dynasty). I was told that the sure way to keep the Final Boss name would be to have Roy+Lunch join myself and Pistola on the Final Boss team. This was something that I didn't want to do out of kindness towards my former teammates Victory and Fearitself, who would have then been left without a seed and having to scramble to join a new team each (possibly not being able to team together still if they couldn't find a team willing to boot 2 players). I wanted Victory and Fear to be able to keep their seed, and have options as to who they pick up on their team and play with. That is the main reason why Pistola and I left Final Boss to join Instinct rather than attempting to have Roy+Lunch join us on FB, and we had high hopes that the name Final Boss would be allowed to follow us.

Apparently there were discussions within MLG and the team name change from Instinct to Final Boss has been declined. Do I feel like they are doing this in attempt to have us re-think our roster change? Yes. Do I feel that we are being made an example of because they do not like team changes and they've allowed similar name changes in the past but won't allow ours? Yes. Ultimately I am at the point in my career where I do not care about keeping a team name. I am simply displeased for the sake of the fans, who have known and loved Final Boss. The new team will continue to progress and impress you all, I guarantee it. Stay tuned to find out whether we will be going into the Columbus event as team Instinct or some other name. Thanks to all of the fans we have and I'm sorry if your Final Boss merchandise now has less meaning! <3

You can't fault Tom's reasoning. From MLG's perspective if they don't know Tom is giving Cam and Justin the Final Boss seed, then it just looks like he is trying to keep the FB name but gain a higher seed.

If they did know this [MLG], then I think it's outrageous! Tom has been in MLG for many many years, I think he's above cheating the system. Puckett, Shockwave and Gandhi say it all the time: "he's the most winningest player in the league", to much if you ask me, however he has had his loses and taken them graciously. I would think MLG would support the camaraderie and respect Tom has shown for his former teammates, and not want to lose a dynasty in Final Boss.

As an Instinct fan, I am pleased that there is a possibility the Instinct name will stay, but also displeased that Final Boss name seems to be disappearing.

I don't understand how these team name changes work at all seems stupid to me if no one is using the name then why can't they?

Because like one person stated, it can be seen as switching teams merely to gain an advantage in seeds. Tom went from 10th, with FB, to Instinct in 6th, and then requests a team change. So it's like he could have simply joined just for the seed gain.

It's simple go as Final Instinct, that way they are a combined MLG powerhouse name, much like the team. If they break up, they can be Final Boss and Instinct once more.

Also it addresses the merchandise issue, if your a Final Boss or Instinct fan with a T-shirt, cut it in half. The Instinct fans send the half to the FB fans and they do the same, bit of stitching and you're there.

If they break up, pick the stitches, send them off again and sew them up. Final Boss or Instinct fan once more.

Also if I was Tom and I was a little pissed like I imagine he is. I would petition it, I would try to secure the evolvement of all teams that made roster changes to not go as a seed. If Tom can't keep the FB name no-one should be able to move to a team with a different seed. As countless times teams rosters have changed so much that, that they don't even have an original member on them.

This isn't Tom's motive yet it is a factor, when a player/s can be in control of a team they never created. What's more ridiculous Tom keeping the FB name or an FB roster without an Ogre?

Like I said no-one goes as a seed, because if one rule is enforced all should be. Everyone play's through the AM bracket, MLG is left without pool play and the bracket falls apart!

It is erelevant now, in the other thread I said:

1. Justin and VicX got the team Final Boss to the seed they are at so they are entitled to that seed, as long as there is no conflicting issue's.

2. "Final Boss" is a dynasty which was not created by either of them, and are in no position to be in control of said dynasty.

3. Ninja said he wasn't comfortable being on a "Final Boss" I imagine because he had no prior experience with it.

Hmmm... Maybe the "god squad" could just take 10th seed and give "Agency" 6th seed and everybody could keep the name they want. I mean with pool play, the only thing that seed determines (if you're in the top 16) is who you play in pool play. For the god squad, that shouldn't matter at all since they can probably beat anyone with both hands tied behind their backs.

The reason MLG refused OGRE2's request is probably a sponsorship issue of some sort, but I'm not too familiar with how MLG deals with their partners, but I think it's possible that Dr. Pepper or Stride or some other sponsor refused to let this team change happen because they wanted to be sponsoring the 6th seeded team and not the 10th seeded team.

Wasn't there a rule about team names having to stay with the longest lasting, original player on that team, that's why Snipedown and those guys couldn't be Str8 during off-season, because the name belongs to T2... so by that logic isn't impossible for The Agency to be FB without an Ogre. I think giving FB to Walshy would even be a stretch, in conclusion these naming rules are getting ridiculous

Edit: Props to Testing for that good logic, that's the only possible reason (as far as I can tell) for the names to be so wacky

no team used the Str8 Name. he Remade it and used HIS name. Ogre2 gave cap to VicX meaning VicX owns the name. just like T2 owns the Str8 name being the LAST captian of Str8.
