APG is the only consistent player on BTH from what i saw at dallas which wasn't to much with the way the streams were but i did hear that he never listened to anyone on the team when he needed to maybe thats why he got the boot anyway i hope IMPACT tries to pick up Ghost and APG to maybe replace heinz on Dynasty?

First off! i apologize if this thread was allready made or in the the wrong place!

Why did he leave impact? I thought that team had a great chance at winning an event! I just dont think that being the player neighbor is along with the the rest of BtH have a good chance of winning a tournment! Theres just too much slayers on that team! Dont get me wrong the FB squad from last year and even the new FB team(god squad or whatever you wanna call them) all hade and now have great slayers, but also are great objective players too, and i just dont see that with this new BtH! Whatever tho! I guess it really dosent matter! That team is still another god squad along with FB, and i wouldent doubt them two team being in the finals!

If it was issues outside of the game, I can understand it.

Changing to a team that:

Placed lower.
Has immaturity issue's.
Is inconsistent in placings.
Doesn't have a suitable role for you.

Leaving a team which:

Have young up and coming stars.
Powerhouse slayers.
Drive for their first win.
First event together and placing 2nd.
Has a solid role for you to play in the team.

I was quite happy mason seemed to be back on top, he hasn't had an easy time with fitting into teams. Impact seemed to have a connection in and outside of the game. Maybe his inability to stick it out with a team is the reasoning he has bad luck.

Seedings are always a concern, but I can't see how leaving a team that placed 2nd and joining one that placed 3rd has anymore guarantee in a similar/higher seeding.

That is a valid reason, Lethul shouldn't be rage quitting from scrims obviously, but they placed 2nd at Dallas. Why would you break up? It just doesn't make sense to me.

Exactly no offence to ApG but, look at ApG, He brings raw talent slaying power to an already raw slayer team. But he's also unprideicatable, doesn't follow strats. Now look at Walshy he may not be the best slayer, but immagine if they give Walshy free reign over how they play. adding unison, and strats to this already powerful roster of young guns

Am I the only one who hates people calling them the God Squad? Don't get me wrong, they have some of the best slayers in the game. However, they've been a team for a very short time. Everyone is riding them calling them God Squad, well what happens if they do bad or just average in Columbus. Will everyone jump ship to whoever beats them? Sorry for the rant, just bugs me how there really isn't much loyalty between fans and who they like. I mean I guess it's easy cheering for whoever is the best team at the time, but really?
I wasn't following MLG during the Halo CE or 2 days, but from what I have read and watched with VOD's I wish it was still like that. Obviously there is a lot more players and teams so it's hard for teams to stay together like Carbon, FB and Str8 did. But it gives more to the atmosphere, fans being fans of a team and not jumping ship every tournament. Part of this is also because of the constant team changes.
To anyone who did listen thanks, just needed to vent somewhere about this and in no way would do it on MLG or Bungie forums lol. I just have a big pet peeve for bandwagon fans. It's tough being a loyal fan when players change teams so much, but at least people can respect you when you stick with the same players/team and not change every couple months.

Even though with Str8 back I am cheering for them again, it would be cool to actually see them earn the title God Squad. WHat do we say? Win 4 in a row, or just say 5 and win out 2011? Even other pros like Neighbor call them God Squad, it's just the way it is

Also I've seen them scrim a few times and they are definitely the team to beat online, and we know they are great lan players too, so it really could become a god squad, only time will tell

Them being called "The God Squad" really shouldn't bother anybody. And I find it to be quite silly that certain people are getting upset because of the amount of hype they're getting. This is probably one of the biggest team changes in the history of MLG (up there with Walshy getting the boot from FB). When a team like this forms, people are going to get excited. It's natural for a fan to do so. Also, I don't think people realize just how many fans Ogre 2, Pistola, Lunchbox, and Roy had when they weren't on the same team. You could actually say they have the biggest fan bases along side pros like Strongside and Neighbor (granted, he has his haters too).

When this team then went on to start smashing teams online 7-1, 8-0, 9-1, etc, it gave fans even more incentive to call them the 'God Squad'. And yes, of course, online doesn't matter anywhere close to as much as a LAN or an event would. However, we have nothing to judge this new team off of yet except for online, so that's what we're going to do.

Let the fans have their fun by calling them the God Squad. It shouldn't bother anybody. It's a name.

APG is the better the player right now, Walshy hasn't done anything to merit a slot on a top 2 team. There is a reason why no team with quality players consider him during the offseason. APG is a proven player in reach, while Walshy still has a lot to prove. Look at the scrim results, they performed better with APG.

Imma have to disagree with you. The talent that they have will carry them far alone. Once they start really getting their teamwork down, which honestly is just adding APG where Blaze then Neighbor left off, they'll be a top 3 caliber team for the rest of the year.

okay, im going to break it down as to why APG will not work well on Impact. Impact runs in pairs (buddy system) APG is an agressive player who rarely follows strats. This is completely contradictory to the Impact playstyle we know and love. If APG can suddenly change his playstyle, than maybe it will work out.

yea impact is going to be sick with apg, i could see them getting top 3 again just because of apg. not sure about BTH though, and definitely not sure about str8 even though they're my favorite team. hopefully the lans will help a lot. also dynasty is going to be a contender for top 4 after they get some much needed lan practice. whoever watches snip3down's stream knows how much xbl kills his gameplay. he gets more blooshots than anyone plus it makes him complain which doesn't help the team. but no one is going to beat god squad at columbus. they are unreal.

I like Soldier but I thought they'd go for Walshy or GH057ayame. I SLU does well though. I'm surprise GH057ayame is having such a tough time finding a team. I mean sure he had a rough event but he did get top 8 and was actually pretty close to top 6. Plus Dynasty arguably could have beaten SQ in pool play had it not been for that glitch (I've seen the video and it's kind of hard to tell if it would have made a big difference or not imo)

just watched him 1v1 Sudd2 and it was seriously some of the most fun I've had watching halo. He's absolutely hilarious and his skill is just ridiculous. He will be a strong competitor for whoever he plays with in the future. I wish he woulda stayed with Calm and VS, but oh well.

Apparently Str8 Rippin has been thinking about disbanding and reforming in order to get out of Pool C and instead fight through AM bracket. RyaNoob was heard talking about it on stream and he also posted in the mlgpro forums about it.


Yea, but there is a little more than that. I'm not saying that we are doing everything we possibly can to have that happen because we were just talking about it, but I think that playing good teams early on is really bad. For example, I don't think Soul at dallas could've beaten dynasty in pool play. I don't think we could've beaten Impact in pool play(excluding that game because it proved to not matter). Soul played so much better in LB than pool play, and playing teams like final boss is just a confidence crusher.

Also, who's to think the other two teams don't do the same and we are back to where we were?

I'm getting sick of the Mlg Forums all I read is GS this, or GS that. What makes instinct this unbeatable force of death. They have the "Stronger half" of two teams that didn't even break the top 4. I mean yes they could be good, but Ogre2 admitted himself the Lunch gets host alot of the time. and everybody knows that Halo Reach is the most Host dependent Halo game ever. I mean your bullets register more [Not saying much since HR has some godly Hit Ditection] Your bloom resets faster, giving you time to pace more. Explosions are bigger and have a farther splash damage. So what is this, what makes this team better then every other team out there.

I mean SQ won the first event they have the best teamwork. Str8 has a great roster if Naded, and Legit work on their consistency. Impact, and BtH have super strong rosters. So can we please just calm down, and wait for at least the first LAN they attend, if not for Friday night, and watch them in event.

As much as I think God Squad will perform quite well, I think that a lot of people are overlooking BtH. Everyone kind of brushes off the fact that they finished 3rd last tournament. By replacing APG with Neighbor, I think they have another legitimate chance to finish top 3 again. APG did have a hell of a tournament, but Neighbor I feel will mesh well with them, and they'll be right up at the top again.

I'm also surprised to see no one saying anything about a repeat by SQ.

All I'm saying is, look for these under-the-radar teams to really preform well.

i know what you mean. It seems like everytime Ninja streams, he's doing singles because no one else from Agency is on. I'd love to see them succeed, but I just don't see it happening unless Ninja's individual skill carries them and the other 3 are at the top of their game, which is tough with the lack of practice. The only reason that online wouldn't matter is if everyone that played against a certain team complained about connection. As far as I know, nobody has complained about Instinct's connection. It does matter, and they will show it at Columbus.

Idk man, sure Impact does bad pre-event and online but I feel like Neighbor might have been the glue they needed since he is a smart and very experienced player who can fulfill most roles and APG is an awesome player but brings a skillset to the table that might not be what Impact needs, even if he gets along with the team better

Str8 plus the Walshy effect in one pool.
Deffinetly worried about about Instinct, Str8 seems to have their number, so when Str8 gets their shit together they'll be extremely dangerous to FB. and then you add Ambush who I believe has the talent to take Instinct to five games [Won't predict them to win it that would be crazy, but Walshy has always played his best against the Ogre2] I think that if Str8 beats them, and then they get taken far by Walshy, and his Ambush squad will push them out of their place on top of the pool, and allow either BtH of GMM take the pool.

Thats just absolutely stupid. Even if the majority of their games against teams are close (which they are'nt) you cant dismiss the fact they they WON the game. A win is a win.

the problem with bth is their internal arguments, they get down on each other very quickly and usually it effects how they play the rest of a series. and gmm has potential but because they have to have elitest step up this event(i like elitest so im not trying to be a douche) and im interested to see how a very successful ffa player works with a high placing to4.

that being said i still see instinct winning their pool and getting top 2 with sq, but it will be a much harder time then it has been thus far.
