Man I went to see what was going on in the MLG forums today and I know why I never go there anymore. People have no clue what they are talking about and make some of the dumbest remarks based on stats. Like I told them totz went -100 and got 6th while ola went +200 and finished 10th.

While Instinct has some clearly noticeable things to work on I believe they can make the necessary changes and close the gap between the top 3 teams and the rest of the pack. I think they could use a LAN against BtH, sQ, and Impact to close the gap. They also need to work more on 5 game series results rather than an 11 game approach at LANs to work on the consistency they need to win a 5 game series

Og2 is Final Boss. Just because Victory was captain(he sent in the email with the roster) doesn't mean he owns the name. It's like Best Man said on the mlg forums more than likely they'll take Instinct's seed and keep Final Boss's name. Like how Dynasty changed to BtH after Cloud and Maniac joined up with Clutch and APG.

I am expecting their communication to be very loud. Roy is notorious for screaming everything and OGRE 2 is just about the same. Hopefully their chemistry is there. I am not trying to watch another dropoff occur for Final Boss like what happened to them for a good part of Halo 3.

Sucks to see Victory X leave. I would rather have him over Lunchbox to be honest, but it obviously is part of the deal with getting Roy.

A roster of OGRE 2, Pistola, Roy, and Victory X would be very promising, but hopefully Lunchbox can prove me wrong. Good luck to FearItself and Victory X. Sure they will do fine finding a solid team.

If T2 and Totz remake Str8 Rippin, (they could technically take the Instinct name if the new squad takes the FB name but lets assume they take Str8) then any previous member of Instinct would be able to take the name. Elamite could take it, Cloud could take it, Walshy could take it. Who knows. I am pretty sure that's how it works. However, if I just look like a complete moron right now, please tell me!

You can make all of the comparisons of Shockwave finally leaving Carbon to Walshy and Str8 Rippin being disbanded. At the end of the day, Final Boss has = MLG to a lot of people including myself who have followed MLG since day 1.

From StK to 3D to FB, OGRE 2 has no choice but to retain the Final Boss team name. He has earned it by being part of the best team at the end of each of the games in the Halo franchise, and he is the most successful player in Halo history. The name Final Boss goes to a player with that resume.

That video is pretty sick, and quoting you because you said to do so. And for those hating on FB not getting top 8, it happened by one kill, I'm pretty sure that one kill could go either way at any time, this time it went to Warriors, they won the series.

I think they are keeping it Instinct for two reasons.
1. Roy and Lunch have had the name together for so long.
2. Roy and Lunch have been in the circuit ABOUT as long as Ogre 2.

2gre has been winning tournaments since 2003-4. FB has been his team that entire time, though it was previously Team 3D(sponsored), and before that, StK(not forgetting their brief stint as Team Domination, but that's not really relevant). But they've been called FB since 06. Older than the Instinct name, and much more overall success.

individually OG2 was never inconsistent, FB (team) was for 2009. FB during '09 as a whole was just a mess, they never had a dedicated fourth and they never placed well. that doesn't mean OG2 was bad/inconsistent. after watching halo 3 events for 3 years there is no doubt OG2 was one of the top players in the game in the end (looking at success/skill). same is true about halo 1 and 2 and most likely will be for reach.

Say T2 were to reform Str8 '08, I think Snip3down would leave Dynasty without second thoughts, Legit might have trouble splitting from Naded, but honestly I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen, and finally Elamite which is the toughest scenario. Top4 is such a great finish and they had the potential to be top1 that i don't know if i could see him leaving, but honestly I could see Warriors picking up Ninja or someone to replace him if he were to leave.

i'm not complaining, you can't really refuse to team with roybox especially if you're OG2 and pistola, but they played well the entire tournament besides friday. i would have liked to see them try one more time with vicX and fear but i can't complain. they dropped a slayer and obj player for an even better slayer and obj player. with 2 months practice they should get top 4 at worst.

Got to commend SQ, I like the value they have in sticking together. Do any of these teams ever think that a team change will do them no good.

Darkest Hour did pretty well at the 6 Team LAN with it being their first LAN together, also they won the online ladder. So a bad performance at Dallas [one event] is reasoning for a team change.

I can't say that never changing up a roster is a good thing, but it has been one event. Maybe if the teams spent a little more time practicing together and a little less time worrying about who would replace who, these teams would excel with that teamwork, much like SQ.

I can see what you're saying, but I have to agree Naded probably wasn't the best choice, however I think outside of the game he can be on of the harder players to team with.

I used DH more so of an example, I think if you are generally considered a Top 8 team and you place way outside of that, it validates a team change.

If you are a Top 16 team and you place way outside of that it validates a team change, some teams just look like changing for the sake of it. However it does have a domino effect.

So although I didn't like the Instinct line up, I thought with that line up they did well. However because of Final Boss placing so low and looking to make roster changes, it almost forcibly made Instinct make some changes. Then the dropped players from 1st & 2nd seeded teams entice other plays to leave or change their teams Roster to fit them in.

Imagine how peaceful it would be if no-one made any changes, I would enjoy being able to support a team, not bits of one.
